The 37th annual conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine India (SNMI) will be organised at Kadavu Resorts at Kozhikode in Kerala from December 8 to 11. A conference of its kind is being held in Kerala for the first time.
Experts in nuclear medicine from the country and abroad will assemble for the conference for deliberating on the new trends in the emerging system of nuclear medicine, which is increasingly used to cure various diseases, including cancer.
MIMS director Dr. Azad Moopen and SNMI secretary general Dr. R. Rijju said at a press conference in Kozhikode that fusion imaging would be the key subject of the conference. Nearly 50 research papers on different aspects of the system will be presented at the conference.
The conference will be attended by experts from the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, Babha Atomic Research Centre, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, All India Medical Sciences, Board of Radiological Isotope Technology, Pennsylvania University and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong.
