1. For the B.Com Distance programme, the contact classes are not compulsory. However, it will be worth attending them, as they are mainly examination-oriented and helpful to the students. There will be a few sessions of contact classes spanning for a week or so. Apart from this, its always better to arrange private tuition for your son either by individual teachers or parallel colleges, as the contact classes alone would not be sufficient to cover the various subjects. There will be an induction programme next month at the contact class centre chosen by your son, where the study materials will be distributed to the students.

2. Annamma should apply for the duplicate marklists from the University. There is no provision to issue copies of your lost marklists. The procedure to apply for duplicate ML is very tiresome and lengthy. You should first advertise the matter in a newspaper, as per the prescribed format. Then, after 15 days, you should obtain a sworn affidavit from Ist Class Judicial Magistrate. After this, You can apply for the MLs in the prescribed form to the Controller of Exams. The fee per ML is Rs.200/ + Rs.25/ towards postal charge. Be very careful, while applying, as any mistake / defect in the notification, affidavit or application will result in the rejection of your application and you will have to repeat all the procedures.

3. Smiji - You can send an application in a white paper in this regard to the Controller of Examinations with complete details like your date of application, centre, course, Reg.No, Month & year etc. However, it is not fully sure that the concerned section would be able to take note of it, as they have a large no of applications to process and dispose of and your request for change of address is likely to go unnoticed by them on account of this. So, it will be better and wise for you to also contact your post office at Palakkad and request them in writing to re-direct the certificate, which will be sent by regd. post, to your B'lore address and follow it up occassionally with them.

4. Pradeep should first contact his centre, where he took the exam to obtain the unclaimed ML. If they say that it is returned to the University, get the details like date of return and the no & date of the covering letter of the returned MLs from that centre. Then come in person to the Pareeksha Bhavan of the University with your hall-ticket to get it. You will also have to remit a fee of Rs.100/- towards unclaimed ML fee, if it is with the University.
