Writing final year exam, Syllabus of BA 1st year.

Can you please tell whether a third year student can write first year’s main paper? Actually my friend got only 33 marks for main paper and due to some reason wasn’t able to do improvement. Can u please tell whether she can write it in final yr. what’s the pass mark for first yr main paper?

Syamnath . S : I am former Bcom student in kerala university 2005 - 2006.
I have passed 1st year. Second year, I failed two papers and the final year five. Then I came to Palakkad dt, in palakkad, there are no kerala university centres. Please tell me a way to complete the course in kerala or any other university.

1.Asha has not specified the name of the course. There are plenty of University courses. I presume the course she referred to is BA. Final year. Students can write first year main paper along with the final year main papers. But this will be treated as improvement chance for main subject. There won't be any chance for improvement for main again and subsequently.There is no paper-wise pass minimum for main paper for BA. You should get 210 marks for a pass in main subject (ALL papers put together)

2. I think you are a student of the SDE of the University. Syllabus and course materials will be provided by the SDE in due course as per the information given in their prospectus. Further, books for the BA subjects are available with the Central Co-operative Stores of the University of Calicut. Please contact them for details.

3. You have to get in touch with the Controller of Exams, University of Kerala for a centre change. Its better to continue with the Kerala University for completion of your course - pramod.
